Russian forum is not updated, so I'm writing here. I can not fix it. I tried two different ways, but it does not work. How to install unzip the file on the memory card? Script commands do not work. Help please.

Tried to install both manually and using the easy install script, but failure on boot:

Code: Select all
Initializing baseband...
Enable SD-Card LDO
Initializing block device...
Reading partition table...
Failed to mount ext2 filesystem
Unable to mount ext 2 filesystem
Loading the kernel ...
Failed to mount ext2 filesystem
Unable to mount ext 2 filesystem
Initializing block device...
Reading partition table...
Open failed!
Loading the kernel...
Invalid uImage!
Invalid zImage!
Initializing block device...
Reading partition table...

The next line is unreadable (unintelligible character encoding, but seems to refer to a problem with the FS again)
Code: Select all
failed tmount ext2 filesystem

and there it stops. Any ideas?

Was established. Impressive! Will the network or the sound? If it worked the sound, it would be quite good.

Nice Work.
Keep the nice work on guys!
Here is a good Android porting tutorial: http://www.kandroid.org/online-pdk/guide/telephony.html
There are some information about Multimedia, Power Management and Telephony.
I hope i could help!

Does this have newer kernel than 2.6.29?
I wanna know because then I know can I try to port ICS to Jet, but then I also need testers! :D

I'm messing with my Galaxy Nexus baseband radios + kernels to get better battery life and then when I am finished I can try to port Honeycomb or ICS to Jet but I can't test them...

here is some tweaks to build.prop:
Code: Select all
"wifi.supplicant_scan_interval=20" to "wifi.supplicant_scan_interval=90"  to save battery
ro.ril.disable.power.collapse=1
pm.sleep_mode=1
ro.media.enc.jpeg.quality=100

media.stagefright.enable-player=true
media.stagefright.enable-meta=true
media.stagefright.enable-scan=true
media.stagefright.enable-http=true

# Performance settings
debug.sf.hw=1
debug.composition.type=mdp
ro.compcache.default=18
dalvik.vm.dexopt-flags=m=y
dalvik.vm.execution-mode=int:jit
dalvik.vm.heapsize=32m   *or use* dalvik.vm.heapsize=48m   <--- not sure does this speed up or slow down CM7 on Jet!
persist.sys.purgeable_assets=1
persist.sys.use_16bpp_alpha=1
persist.sys.use_dithering=1
ro.vold.umsdirtyratio=20

ro.config.hwfeature_wakeupkey=0
windowsmgr.max_events_per_sec=150
pm.sleep_mode=1
ro.ril.disable.power.collapse=0
persist.adb.notify=1
debug.performance.tuning=1
video.accelerate.he=1
ro.media.enc.hprof.vid.bps =8000000
ro.media.capture.maxees=8m
ro.media.capture.fast.fps =4
ro.media.capture.slow.fps=120
ro.media.capture.flashMinV=33000000
ro.media. capture.torchIntensity=40
ro.media.capture.torchIntensity=70
ro.media.panorama.defres=3264x1840
ro.media.capture.panorama.frameres=1280x720
ro.camcorder.videoModes=true

Some of those tweaks does not work but them should not harm Android OS if adding some wrong to build.prop, the capture tweaks is not needed on Jet!

media.stagefright... text gives better performance for applications and it also gives better score on quadrand/other benchmark app..

There is also market tweaks to show applications that you'll maybe not see without tweaks..

alirezak wrote:hi every body and thanks you all for you effort on this nice project. I have found this Project just for 2 days and quickly install jetdroid 0.2 release and it worked with some problems for example my camera didn't work also my sim card were unknown, too. today after some troubles in downloading the packages I finally install the 0.5 release by the automatic installation method which mentioned in first post. but the android never boots up. jetdroid boot up screen comes and start to loading the files after some messages, it write: "starting kernel ->" and then the screen goes black and a little vibration occur then nothing happen and the phone is became shutdown. I try it some times and nothing changed.
I do not install any other version of jetQi is the problem from there? I use the jetQi which is in step by step instruction. also I do not try to download packages and do it manually is it possible that problem is from automatic installation for example it doesn't download and extract kernel packages?
my frameware version is : S8003JPIH1

Hi Alirezak,

Camera, calling, messaging (phone features) are not working yet. Please refer to first post regarding list of features working and not working.
For 0.5 version install you don't need to change JetQi. The old JetQi will work fine.
The first booting may take long time before booting JetDroid depending on your SD card. Please wait for at least 4 to 5 minutes for first booting.
If still the problem remains, please upload the kernel.log and android.log files on your JetDroid partition here which will help us to understand the exact problem.

sorry for delayed answer. I put turned on the phone in JetDroid mode and put it for more than 20 minutes but nothing happened. after that I change my jetdroid partition format from ex3 to ex2 and again nothing changed. I searched for .log files which you mentioned but nothing found. the messages which are shown in jetdroid startup screen is:
Code: Select all
Initializing baseband...
Enabled SD-card LDO
Initializing block device...
Failed to mount ext2 filesystem
Unable to mount ext2 filesystem
loading the kernel ...
Failed to mount ext2 filesystem
Unable to mount ext2 filesystem
Initializing block device...
Readingpartition table ...
Open failed!
loading the kernel ...
Invalid uImage!
Size [KiB]: 2945
Kernel commandline:
loglevel=7 rootdelay=1 init=
Init root=/dev/mmcblk0p2 rw
Init root=/dev/mmcblk0p2 rw
Starting kernel --->

what should I do now?
thanks
