JetDroid can sing now :) - Audio support added

Postby KB_JetDroid » Sun Jul 15, 2012 7:04 pm

Hi All,

Here is a patch for our new JetDroid platform containing audio support. :D
The audio drivers are not fully complete hence you will find few issues regarding mic noise, audio quality and switching.
Please download the patch for audio from here.

It contains a zip file including following files:
/zImage
/system/lib/libaudio.so
/system/lib/libaudiopolicy.so

Extract the zip at the root of JetDroid partition and check for the above files.

The power issue (shutdown in JetDroid mode) is not yet fixed. Hence audio plaback for little long duration might turn off your jet due to battery drainage.

Please test this patch and let me know your feedback or if you face any problem using this patch.

You mean you have actually remoed them from the board??? What were you trying to do :P

Anyway I guess if they are unconnected and not shorted there might be possiblity of making it work by enabling internal pullup of those GPIO pins. Do you have the build environment and able to compile the latest kernel from here? If yes then you can change the pull up setting in Jetkernel_3.0/arch/arm/mach-s3c64xx/mach-gt_s8000.c
Code: Select all
   S3C_PIN(GPIO_AP_SCL_1_8V),    S3C_PIN_IN, S3C_PIN_PULL(NONE), //change NONE to UP
   S3C_PIN(GPIO_AP_SDA_1_8V),    S3C_PIN_IN, S3C_PIN_PULL(NONE),

Let me know if you are not able to compile and I'll try to create a binary for you.

thanks for your repay
the resistor is sealing off and lost . i try to solder it, but it too small.....

but your sound driver give me great power to repair it , a moment ago ,i had sloder a 4.7K larger resistor , and the sound working well....

the jet have two mic, just Above mic is work?

Wow !!! you really soldered it by hand? Great :) 4.7K should be fine since the MAX9880 codec I2C iterface needs any value higher than 500 ohm.

Your observation is correct. Currently only the Reference Mic is enabled hence the recording is of low quality. For some reason I'm not able to make the Main Mic working. Need to debug and try more.
