Virtualbox Development Environment.

Postby MadRocker » Tue Dec 28, 2010 11:09 pm

I have made a virtualbox Ubuntu 64bit 10.04.1 VDI hard drive image that contains the complete Android + JetDroid + JetKernel ready to build / develop from, as well as a desktop folder containing the files needed to flash your S8000 to JetDroid.

If there is someone that needs this VDI for their 64bit computer let me know and I can upload it or if someone has FTP / webspace to host this file / torrent it, it would be great as well.

This means 1 download of about 3gb total that contains the 4gb Android folder + working updated 4gb Ubuntu Gnome distro.

It extracts to 20gb with 8gb used. Just choose existing disk image in virtualbox set the other options to what you like and boot it.

Let me know if anyone is interested.

Have you tried this yet with version 10.10. I have been playing around with 10.10 and really like it. It seems to run a lot smoother no my machine than the older version of Ubuntu. I have not seen anyone running the setup you described with 10.10. Thanks for any advice that you may be able to offer.
