Manual touch screen calibration

Postby Thijs » Thu Nov 04, 2010 8:53 pm

The touchscreen driver takes calibration data via the kernel
commandline. If you are using a recent JetQi bootloader (at least the
current testing release) you can pass these parameters to the kernel
using the /boot/append-jet file on the SD-card (you might have
to create the directory '/boot' and execute "chmod 666 /boot").

Min/max parameters can be specified like below:
s3c-ts.xmin=1081 s3c-ts.xmax=2854 s3c-ts.ymin=1090 s3c-ts.ymax=3040

So far there is no other way get the right calibration values than
trial&error. But we may have a calibration app, sometime in the
future.

Where exactly do I write that line if I have to make the boot folder myself?

make a /boot folder and in there create a file called append-jet
then edit that file and insert the code. Save.

Still made no difference, have to touch like 1cm below any icon for it to react.

Edit: gave new permissions and now working. Thanks.
