HI DOPI,
im not sure if u have seen the vid but theres a chinese guy who's managed to get jet to call another handset, i managed to find him in a chinese forum, he was saying that he enabled calling via setting it up as a forigen network bypassing gsm as an application? im not 100% but it might be a good lead??
amazing progress, i had the calander working, i was just adding and adding files from majority of platforms an kernels u guys have been making, also was adding ginger beta 1 files and froyo files, merged and skipped, only had calander working properly once ill try and remember exactly what i done and post again, oh one last thing is no sound at all normal??????? GOD SPEED!

I don't think the video from the chinese forum is serious. I also tried contacting this guy but I did not succeed. However, If he really managed to do this, why does he not inform us here? It is not a big problem finding the JetDroid center of gravity ;)

Currently it is normal that sound is not working.

Also writing the RTC is not supported, yet.

Cheers,
Dopi

That is just a theme. Look at the date of posting, it is months ago. It is not acurate information ;)
The jet will take-off to meet the android people! :)

ive been reading that everyone has issues with the clock and time maybe this is why???

This could just be the way the kernel was built and what was selected or this below.

The fsa9480 still needs some help + patching as do most of the files in the kernel. Once something else is added and somewhat works many error disappear but brings up new errors. It is a can of worms.

The newer kernel that we can not yet ready to use is more independent and has more fixes. See Tom3Q 2.6.3* kernels.

PMIC also needs the battery to work and this activates the audio amp but the audio amp part of the battery is not correct yet, this needs max8906 that includes the audio and some gpio's that relies on the sound/soc/codec that in itself needs some attention etc etc etc.. or something like this.

You would think in the kernel it would be as easy as, there is a collision on 5th ave and broadway, unfortunately when you go look there everything is working well but has something to do with a dude on his phone calling to china where his call is forwarded to a ham radio connecting to a small town in Australia where a goat fell into a old mine shaft. Well not really but it ends up as crazy as this sometimes to find the real error.

Most of the error messages is vague or not even relating to anything or needs something fixed in files that is not being used. This has been fixed to a great extend in later kernel versions that we can not use yet.

This is why it is taking so long to get something stupid fixed. This is all dew to some clowns pushing garbage and version numbers about 3 years ago that made both the linux kernel + linux programs and windows programs get messed up since then, the same reasons why Firefox built on this defects still has so many issues and FF team trying to fix what is not really broken and so breaking more stuff.

LOL we are getting there. Hope this helps to explain what is going on.

ok ok ok this chinese dude has it calling weather or not its real is a mystery, possible and makes sense thou seeing as android is built for apps! anyway so u think the reason im getting pmic not happening is because of the kernel? ive tried every kernel and every platform and every way possible from release's but i just dont seem to have made as much progress as others as in getting all the goodies in one lovely jet bundle lol one day col one day!
