Hi Marko7,

I don't think this would jusify this problem but all your files belong to the user "pc". I think it should belong to "root". Thus I would suggest you try executing
Code: Select all
sudo chown -R root.root /media/JetDroid/*
.

Cheers,
Dopi

OK!

are you using the newest boot loader (2011) that link I gave to you?
and have you tried this on other firmware?

This is really weird problem! :geek:

I have no idea how to make JetDroid to work on your Jet if you do all right!

maybe your SD HC card causes the problem?
have you used your SD HC card on nokia phone?

Thinking about a similar problem that was reported by Idoz1 and paoloscompa in this thread I was asking myself if you did properly unmount the device (e.g. using the eject button in nautilus). Obviously there seems to be a problem with the kernel that is loaded by the bootloader. So, either the kernel file is damaged somehow or the bootloader has some other problem reading it. As a previous version seemed to be working for Idoz1 and paoloscompa the bootloader and the card should be working. So, I suspected the kernel zImage to be wrong.

Under the above assumption I thought of the following procedure to make sure the zImage is properly written to the card.

  • Delete all old files
  • Install the files from the .tgz archive (or use the easy-install script)
  • Correct the permissions (not needed for easy-install script)
  • copy some large file (around 10-50MB) to the card (e.g. the install archive or a bunch of picture)
  • Unmount the card

I would be very interested to see if this makes any difference.

Cheers,
Dopi
