Hello Dopi,

Thanks for your reply.
Strange that the new release workes for you and not for me.
We have the same HW version.
The earlier release worked perfect on my Jet.
The last few days I tried to install the latest release over and over again but no succes.
Reading all the postings on this forum I found out that there are more people with the same problem.
What goes wrong??
Bootloader?? Ubuntu version?? Wrong installation procedure?? ( I used the dutch manual)
I hope you van find the solution.
It's very irritating.
Thank you in advance

Regards

Cheers,

Try to install GAPPs again: http://wiki.cyanogenmod.com/wiki/Latest ... oogle_Apps
This might solve the problem (I'm not sure)..

If you still have the problem then try to make new Google account and if that works then try again to sign in with your older Google account..

Hello,

Is there any change of solving my problem with installing the latest update of Jetdroid??
This weekend I tried several times to install the latest update but still the same problem.
With easy install and normal install.
I know from reading the postings on this forum that there are more people with the same problem.
The older version of Jetdroid I installed with the dutch manual. It worked perfect.
Are there any changes ? Would this solve the problem??
My HW version was correct. What is the solution??

I even tried updating my friends Jet. Same HW version and the same problem.

Please help.
Thank you in advance

Hi Idoz1,

Sorry for the late reply.
Based on the screenshot you provided, it looks like the kernel is crashing while setting up the mmc card. So either there could be a problem with the SD card or the kernel for the particular SD card. But since you have mentioned that the old release worked fine with the card I guess there is some bug in JetDroid kernel which appears on some specific phones. I tried to reproduce the crash with various configurations of mmc driver but didn't get the same results as yours.
Now to specifically locate and fix the problem. I'll try to create kernel image with some modifications in the mmc driver and give it to you. You can then try those images and show me the results. Most probably it will crash again but with different messages. Based on these results I might be able to figure out the problem.
So give me some time and I'll give you the modified kernel images to try.

PS: By any chance have you or your friend tried with different SD card than the one you are using currently?
If not can you please try to use a different type of card i.e. different size or manufacturer or class. Don't buy a new card try only if it is easily available.

Hello KB_Jetdroid

Thank you for the golden tip. It was indeed a bad working sd-card.
My friend and I bought the the same 8 gb sd-card.
We thought it was a Sandisk but it was another brand.
When replacing it with a real Sandisk of 4 gb both phones are working perfectly with the new release.
Sorry for my mistake but the 8 gb card workes perfectly in my tablet.
Strange that the earlier release worked perfectly with the 8 gb card.
Thank you once again. I am very glad that the problem had been solved.
One advantage, I am getting quite experienced in working with Ubuntu.

I have the same problem, but i am not really willing to buy a new sd card for Jetdroid. The previous version of JetDroid worked fine for me.
My card is a 8GB SanDisk, SDHC class 2.

Please help :)

Hello,

The latest release works perfectly!!
But I have some remarks on the latest release of Jetdroid.
When I shut the phone off in Android mode en start it up the next day the battery is empty.
When I shut it down in Android mode and start it up in the normal way and shut it down again the battery is good the next day.
When I shut it down in Android mode and connect it to the loader I get no response. It's not charging.

Are there more people with the same problem??
