Sure why not.
It should be a 100 times easier than to reinvent the android wheel.
Can you get the bada source code or equivalent for developers ?

PS> the samsung D700 kernel is 2.6.32.* SPH-D700_Froyo_EC05.tar.gz and it has what I presume is a alternative to the mach-jet but generic for s3c64xx DMA instead of the normal smdk6410 and other useless options.
I just stumbled upon it last night, maybe it could be the start of the 2.6.3* kernels for Jet and then merge it with Tom3Q 2.6.38 clean code kernel that fixes the wonderful bug-Samsung kernels.

Most of the generic stuff should then work better except for the touchscreen and audio that we need to rewrite to make it work with the later kernels same as what Tom did for the spica.

Even the FSA9480 already has a 2.6.32 version that works in the bonsai kernel.

Do you try to develop the bada for GT-S8000 ?
or what?
