There's this line in your log:
E/libEGL ( 1783): load_driver(/system/lib/egl/libGLESv2_fimg.so): Cannot load library: link_image[1995]: failed to link libGLESv2_fimg.so

Shouldn't you just make that library available? Or is it at the right location already?

Best regards - Thijs

Hi Thijs, MadRocker,
This error was due to wrong location of libraries. I moved the libChunkAlloc.so file from system/lib/egl to system/lib and got rid of the error.

Another problem was about the loading the 2d/3d drivers using insmod. For some reason insmod doesn't load these modules properly. Hence nothing was working.

I built the modules in kernel. Also modified the dependencies and gpios little bit and it solved the problem. Both the 2D/3D acceleration drivers get loaded properly and also are working. 8-)

With above modifications following things are working.

1. 2D/3D acceleration
2. Image rotation using hardware
3. Vibrator
4. dpram driver gets loaded
5. Bluetooth gpio driver gets loaded.

Although the 2D/3D acceleration is enabled and it has improved the performance, it is still not upto the mark and I think the platform needs few more corrections. I'm trying to debug the issues. Meanwhile below is the link for the binaries which I am using.

I'm using kernel version 2.6.29 and eclair platform. I'm not sure if these files will work with other platform versions.
Guys, please try these binaries and let me know if it works for you and if it works, do you observe any improvement in graphical performance.

wo!

phone vibrated on startup during ANDROID animation!

widgets menu is now scrollable!

will add more as i find

funny screen flicker when long press on desktop t bring up "add to home screen" menu

haptic feedback appears to be working well

I do not observe any better performance switching from portrait to lanscape (would i need to undo the polling hack?)

Eclair:
Much better video performance.

I think the problem is with opengl es running in sotfware mode instead of hardware accelerated or this is what quadrant.apk "free basic version" reports.
Gallery 3d runs much better once you get to a picture on the sd card you can screen rotate as well.

Home wallpaper will only work if there is content in /system/media folder.

Well...
congratulations!
3D Gallery working, live wallpapers working, vibration working...
The flickering is still here :?
Cheers,
Jose
EDIT: Maybe I've got too much photos, but now the gallery is loading all the time... :S

Same for me as well ;)

Do you mean I have to copy my wallpaper to this folder? Because when I try to set a wallpaper from the gallery, it always appears the stock android wallpaper (the blue lake) but with small size (black space between the lake wallpaper and the botton and top of the screen)...

Hi KB!

Great achievement!

2D(/3D) acceleration is there for sure and even the flickering is gone or nearly gone.

Please supply us (Dopi) the patch/sources (even if not completely finished yet) so we can make this the new baseline!

Best regards - Thijs

maybe I am wrong but I think the flickering is because of frame buffer isn't it?
