Resources update for Dev.

Postby MadRocker » Fri Jan 14, 2011 3:52 pm

There is 4 guys doing some good work on the kernels / Android that we might need to keep a eye on when we get stuck.

Xmister https://github.com/Xmister most up to date.
Criminal Still looking for sources.
LeshaK https://github.com/leshak
Vamperifo I see a lot of his kernels, but we need his sources.

Other sources:
Pershoot "CM mods+hacks" https://github.com/pershoot
CM https://github.com/CyanogenMod
Android Experimental kernel http://android.git.kernel.org/?p=kernel/experimental.git;a=shortlog;h=refs/heads/android-msm-2.6.35-wip

Possibly recycle info from these changed parts and how they did it to specific parts and clone similar steps / methods.
http://www.androidpit.de/de/android/forum/thread/407726/ROMs-Kernels-Radios-fuer-das-Nexus-One

Xmister is working on 2.6.35 and has Spica modules for 2.6.35 + porting Spica to 2.6.35 + lots of other goodies on his github page.
The others not sure but seem the are working more on Gingerbread / Froyo tweaking.

If anyone finds more info / sources for these + other guys please update this info.

What we would need in the future:
init , init.rc , init.goldfish.rc , gralloc , kernel config , modules and other optimizations from other Android versions for each Eclair , Froyo and GingerBread.

The kernel + drivers is a high priority at this time especially optimizations / other added features and above 2.6.29.5 kernel config / working and how someone got the kernel config working.
We have many ways of optimizing / getting it working but would be nice to have 1 central place for all tweaks.

If anyone stumbles onto good info, post it here and the devs can update this first post with links / info all in 1 place.

Hi MadRocker,

thanks for compiling this information. I have some remarks / updates for you.

MadRocker wrote:Criminal Still looking for sources.

I think this is his repo: https://github.com/dh-harald/

Do you know what the status is? Did you try this kernel on the Jet?

I agree that a fully working kernel has highest priority. Thus suggest to focus on 2.6.29 until we have good support for all parts of the phone.

We have a central place for all our sources ( https://github.com/JetDroid ). Is this what you were looking for?

Please keep in mind, that this section of the forum ( " Board index ‹ JetDroid Development ‹ Subprojects" ) can only be posted to by dev-team members. Thus If you like to have feedback by the whole community I would suggest to create another topic for open discussion.

Cheers,

I was looking for a fix for JetKernel/drivers/power/s3c6410_battery.c and found these sources that is fairly updated. We might be able to harvest more files from here.

This fixes some issues in the battery.c but not all.

Our key to the battery level is either the MSM baseband or our MAX8906 PMU. This is unlike any other battery driver I have seen so far.
