8 March platform modules ?

Postby MadRocker » Thu Mar 10, 2011 4:39 am

Dopi, is the XSR and RFS modules new builds on github for 8March ? and what branch are you using for this ?

I had some failed module builds on KB's kernel with XSR and RFS "jetmodules"
If your branch XSR + RFS is stable then I could fix + merge it with KB's and test it ?

Code: Select all
make[3]: *** No rule to make target `drivers/jetmodules/rfs/fcache.o', needed by `drivers/jetmodules/rfs/rfs.o'.  Stop
make[3]: *** No rule to make target `drivers/jetmodules/xsr/xsr_base.o', needed by `drivers/jetmodules/xsr/xsr.o'.  Stop

Hi Mad Rocker,

good to hear from you again. The source still does not contain the needed binary (.o) files for building the modules correctly. Thus it is not a big surprise you get errors. The problem is that a make clean will delete all .o files thus storing them in the repo is of only little use. I was thinking of an archive containing them that is extracted before compiling ... just did not implement that, yet.

Cheers,
Dopi

Copy. Will look into that.

Temp kernel cheats that seems to work:
sound/soc/codec
I disabled the wm8990 in the Makefile to get the rest of the codec to build.

/firmware/s8000
Is there a way we can make use of the samsung S8000 firmware and place in this folder and then have it build as blobs ?
Maybe this can be a temp fix or get some of the camera / other devices activated so we can get more info and then later use kernel drivers to make them work or something.
AndroidCommander and browse the touchwiz s8000 folders + extract firmware.

These 2 below might cause us some trouble in the near future, not sure if anyone has a quick fix for this.
