Hello, folks, Imatheussm in the area!

I hope I have been rough and demanding on my previous post ... if you think I'm gone, I'm sorry! Just wanted to be helpful ... I am the fan of the team of developers :D

But I also agree on the question of creating a topic related to the screen of our JetDroid ...

Hello,
I have download the JetPlatform 0.3pre1 (pre)release for testing
http://www.jetdroid.org/forum/viewtopic.php?f=12&t=217

I found several problems.
The USB does not work
The wifi does not start.

To solve these problems, I made a patch
It can be downloaded here:

http://www.mediafire.com/?brjrbuu40ng3drr
or
http://www.megaupload.com/?d=6NOEZFR3

A changelog is available in the zip file ;)

I hope to help.

Cheers,
Sploutch

Could be you don't have the calibration file in the boot folder.

i used an old one and now it works, i calibratet the touchscreen perfect now. Well done mates, only the gallery lags very much but that will be fixed i hope. One last question, is there aby chance to set the ip adress of my wlan access point manual in android? The jet wants to obtain the ip adress and it fails every time...

Hi Sploutch,

thanks for creating your patch.

Wifi should not be a problem if you use a recent kernel (e.g. 0.3pre3 together with JetPlatform 0.3pre1 testing release. As the kernel is currently updated more frequently the zImage and kernel modules are intentionally kept separate.

Due to some research by KB the USB mounting problem is actually related to a problem with the mounting dialog. As you did in your patch this problem can be solved by adding e.g WinAMP. Due to copyright reasons we can't include it in the official releases.

If I see this correctly your patch contains the the contents of a JetKernel release plus boot/append-jet plus some apps in the "carteSD" directory and the unpacked GApps archive.

Did you make any other modifications other than the ones mentioned above and below fix to create the console dev?
Code: Select all
cd dev
sudo mknod console c 5 1
sudo chmod 777 console

This is interesting. Can't this be done automatically in init.rc?

Cheers,
Dopi

That is why the dhd.ko was not present in the release :)
The JetKernel I use is one I compiled from your last source on github.

The only modification I made are in the changelog.

I don't know if it's possible but the console need sudo.
I will watch anyway.

The touchscreen calibration will it be present in the future JetPlatform ?
Code: Select all
../boot/append-jet

Yes. You got it ;) I know that it is a little strange that a file in the /system/lib/modules directory is included in the platform package but it clearly belongs to the kernel.

I plan to include it in the JetKernel release as it is also dependent on the kernel.
