Hi all,

Yesterday, I see something about multi-touch feature of Samsung Spica i5700. Spica is not a multitouch phone at manufacture default, but after install Android Eclair 2.0 and/or a hack called Samdroid Kitchen, Spica becomes a multitouch phone  . After see that news, I wonder can Jet become multitouch by some patches ??

Thanks for reply

Spica is a capacitive touch screen device so multi touch is possible in that phone. Since Jét is a normal resistive touch screen multi touch isn't possible.

Yes there have been developed special resistive touchscreens that are multitouch capable but Jet's screen isn't one of those. Like I said in my earlier post "Jet has normal resistive touchscreen".

So, multi-touch feature is jest depend on the screen or depend on something else (CPU, some IC,...) ?

Thanks

Well, at hardware layer it is the screen, to detect 2 points at once. Then must the OS read that output from the screen and translate it to an action.
