It's very gr8 news. I tested it, it's slow, but it's amazing progress.
I noticed that when you press end call button accidently you can now easily press back button and phone goes to standby screen like you said MadRocker. :D

That sounds good. Now we just need a few more guys to jump onto Jet-GingerBread in parallel with Jet-Eclair.

If you can get with Dopi and start a branch in git for this it would be great and once ready upload these changes and document how to apply them ect.

Let me know if you still need a clean GingerBread build at this time.

Yes it would be nice to be available on Git.
But I just starting to familiarize myself with making a jetplatform. (it was easier with the kernel :D )

It would be nice to make a new release of jetplatform Gingerbread (+ JetKernel) because I have a problem:
- I copy the files on my SDHC, gingerbread runs but if I restart it will not boot (the process kill themselves one by one)

Wow that restart problem does not sound good.
Did you chmod -R 777 /media/sdcard after any file changes every time before restart ?

Try to use what I posted that works on mine to see if you get the same results then change from this and compare to your changes.

Mine restart every time without issues. Using 4.4.3 kernel there is no calibration issues if you add the qwerty.kl default one we use in Jet-Droid-Eclair. ( 4gb class2, 60% fat32 , 40% ext2 )

Attached is the init.rc from gingerbread the default one that needs to be updated to wifi and sensors.

Although working on gingerbread is really tempting, I was thinking of moving on to Froyo, first. My plan was to wait for Samdroid to get settled with their work in CyanogenMOD froyo. However, we could also join forces with them an help working on a Samdroid / JetDroid release .... What do you think?

Cheers,
Dopi

P.S.: I almost forgot about this. I created a base repository for working on Froyo (based on the Samdroid CyanogenMOD sources) is here: https://github.com/JetDroid/JetPlatform_manifest/tree/froyo

I use the package from the 1st post, your init.rc and a working (2.1 platform) zImage.
I do well chmod 777 -R / media / android
Usually this works very well with a 2.1 platform.

Here are the errors displayed:
- untracked pid 984 exited
- untracked pid 985 exited
- etc...
Jet then goes out.

Have you any idea?

Samdroid is a project working on newer Android versions for Samsung Galaxy Spica (GT-I5700). This phone's hardware is very close to ours. Thus the Samdroid system should work with our kernel with very little modifications.

Dopi
