I can see songs in the music player, but not in the ringtone / alarm settings...
I'm using your files, with init.rc and zimage and elg folder from 2d/3d working and Dopi's modules, and it runs quite well.

Dopi,
I can get Froyo working as well using this modules + other / CM_a8.2_videopatch&build.prop&3d2d_v3_update.zip egl folder and egl.cfg method of load libGLES_android.so then load fimg but need your kernel with working android_pmem.h and pmem.c to complete it.

egl.cfg
0 0 android
0 1 fimg

Froyo ends up in adw + launcher select option in android then needs pmem to work. This CM files does not work well with eclair as some lib files has issues or something working on this problem.

If you have not added working pmem files to your kernel then try the attached kernel .c and .h , they worked in another jet kernel without problems.
Can not remember sources on these files.

Thanks.

Hi Dopi,

Did you managed to get the modules loaded properly with this kernel version and modules? When I tried these files I get the blank screen as mentioned by alfonzobonzo. I need to remove all the 2d/3d acceleration libraries from /system/lib/egl directory to get this kernel version working.

When last time tried, I struggled a lot to get these modules loaded properly at run time. It keeps on giving me error no. -17 when insmod was executed. So just for testing I built these modules inside the kernel instead of separate loadable modules and it worked.

Let me know if you have found a proper way to load these modules without any error.

Personally I feel having loadable modules is a best way hence I didn't post the source previously. But if module loading is not working then we need to built them in the kernel itself and then we don't need to put them in the /system/lib/modules. I am attaching my modified source which I used for building this kernel. I have done following changes:
1. Changed the makefile for each module.
2. Added Kconfig for each module.
3. Corrected GPIOs for vibetonz module.
4. Added GPIOs for dpram module.
5. Modified dpram.c for adding support for ttyEFS.

I saw some conflict between the dpram and multipdp modules hence didn't build multipdp module.
Hope this information helps.

Hi MadRocker,

No I don't get any of these errors. Probably I'm using a different branch of kernel than yours. From the errors it seems that your jet_gpio.h file is not compatible with mach-jet.c file. Which kernel version/branch are you using?

experimental 2.6.29 dopi unless I incorrectly downloaded the wrong one with this command below.
Deleted JetQi and JetKernel 2 days ago and did a clean download for both.

Code: Select all
cd ~/JetDroid
git clone -n git://github.com/Dopi/JetKernel.git
cd ~/JetDroid/JetKernel
git checkout -b experimental-2.6.29-dopi origin/experimental-2.6.29-dopi
git pull

Hi MadRocker,

You might have to move from the Dopi to the new JetDroid context:
https://github.com/organizations/JetDroid

Dopi,

Seems something confusing here (at least for me). Can we remove or make the Dopi context obsolete?

Best regards - Thijs

Hi Guys,

sorry for the delay. I was a little too busy with other stuff.

KB_JetDroid wrote:Did you managed to get the modules loaded properly with this kernel version and modules? When I tried these files I get the blank screen as mentioned by alfonzobonzo. This might have been my problem. I did not test the 2D/3D modules as I am still using an old system. Shame on me

Good point. I need to check this. Pmem may not bet in, yet.

From all the above I would conclude that my modules were wrong and not the kernel.

@Thijs: Do you have sources in the repo that don't have these issues?

Cheers,
Dopi

EDIT:
Thijs wrote:Seems something confusing here (at least for me). Can we remove or make the Dopi context obsolete?

Maybe I can rename the repo. Is this what you propose? I would not like to delete it as it is now again my own space where I can try things.
