Confirmed KB flicker fix = good for me as well. Sry for using code below otherwise reply is too long. LOL. :oops:
Code: Select all
Works fine, wifi + automount active.
Will test Sploutch fixes next.
Faded after standby screen look is 80+ %   ams310... file related and being confused with Spica touchscreen backlight from what I could find out so far, 20% android .so file related. I think I posted what I found on this if not fixed yet.
Power button to black screen works and then power button to normal desktop as well with KB files above.
Wallpaper enter view + exit works fine no white screen problem.

Gallery view then gallery exit has the black screen problem where you can see time + wifi on top bar and rest is black. Fix for now = menu button then settings and back to desktop. Think we need a extra .so file for this to work.
Time runs normal.
Power button to shut down is missing the airplane ect. options, think it is module related, not sure.

We might be able to move the wifi out of init.rc and into .../etc/wifi.conf and then in future leave the init.rc as default as possible. This could make it easier with Froyo and ginger as well with default init.rc's .

Dopi, I did update CM-Jet-Eclair in github if you want to verify your changes or use as reference, was trying to get everything in the kernel but fimg and android.so + ../lib/..chunk.so is still needed with KB kernel + s3cfb in kernel.
Below is some tweaks I found in other forums that works well if you want to use this.

Optional kernel performance Tweaks:
init.rc changes for a smooth feeling jetdroid:
loglevel 3

Kernel to get more usable ram for kernel + system:
Set all debug to max 3 and leave debug off where possible. This safes on a lot of kernel error if debug is disabled.
Change 32mb:
CONFIG_DEFAULT_MMAP_MIN_ADDR=4096

Change 5 video Frame buffers, tom3q gingerbread instructions:
CONFIG_FB_S3C_NUM=2
Code: Select all
# CONFIG_FPE_NWFPE is not set
CONFIG_FPE_FASTFPE=y
CONFIG_VFP=y

CONFIG_CPU_V6=y
CONFIG_CPU_32v6K=y

Android ram early start:
#
# Android
#
CONFIG_ANDROID=y
CONFIG_ANDROID_BINDER_IPC=y
CONFIG_ANDROID_LOGGER=y
CONFIG_ANDROID_RAM_CONSOLE=y
CONFIG_ANDROID_RAM_CONSOLE_ENABLE_VERBOSE=y
CONFIG_ANDROID_RAM_CONSOLE_EARLY_INIT=y
CONFIG_ANDROID_RAM_CONSOLE_EARLY_ADDR=0
CONFIG_ANDROID_RAM_CONSOLE_EARLY_SIZE=0
CONFIG_ANDROID_TIMED_OUTPUT=y
CONFIG_ANDROID_TIMED_GPIO=y
CONFIG_ANDROID_LOW_MEMORY_KILLER=y
Serial for bluetooth + modem and UART for GPS needed in future.
I see we are missing the akmd and bluetoothd files from /system/bin/ = we can add this later.

Looks and runs good.

It runs pretty well!
I sometimes have white screens though... for example with live wallpapers :D
I set the loglevel to 3... don't know if this will improve the speed.
Only a question... can you run Quadrant? For me, it stops at I/O (database writes, 2/4)
Chhers,
Jose
P.S.: keep up the good work!!!

hi everyone!

I' ve just proved this last release and its working great!
All features are ok (wifi, usb, sd card, screen, installing apps, launcher, etc)
Also, now i can ''almost'' watch videos from facebook

The only problem i ccould found was with the vibrator: it's working, but with lower ''power'' than before. The feedback is more soft than with the previous realease of the jet eclair
And also, i feel like if its working slower than before, but its just a feeling

greetings for Argentina,
Esteban

Ok! I'm going to try with 1.1.1
Another question... how many time did it get to finish the test?
Cheers,
Jose

well... I get about 150 without testing I/O... I cannot test this because it stops in database writes... maybe I have too much files in my sdcard.
Cheers,
Jose

Touchscreen gives problems:

When I want to type text, it rarely gives me the correct letter (most of the time the letter i, j or k is being entered instead). Strange thing about it is, that it does actually detect which letter I typed, since it highlights the letter as soon as the letter is tipped (with a pointer). As soon as I release the tip from the letter, it switches very brief between the letters i, j and k (In most of the attempts).
It is also somewhat difficult to scroll through menus and between workspaces (desktop screen), where it attempts to perform the gesture I make (scrolling down for example), but eventually reverts.

I have tried calibrating using Jet Calibrate without any luck. I am not sure this is due to wrong calibration settings, since it does work for actions where I can keep the tip on a single spot (such as selecting an icon or menu item).

Any suggestions?

Btw: I like the way this project has progressed! Keep up the good work :)

Great, it works pretty well.
However, the mass storage does not works, animations was flickering, calendar causes an error.
It would be nice to add a file manager to this platform.

I made a small patch for correct this.
Code: Select all
/init.rc (add mass storage and log level 3)
/system/app/Calendar.apk (from Omnia2droid)
/system/app/CalendarProvider.apk (from Omnia2droid)
/system/app/FileManager.apk (from Cyanogenmod)
/system/lib/hw/gralloc.GT-S8000.so (from KB_JetDroid)
/system/lib/libs3c2drender.so (from KB_JetDroid)
/system/lib/libsavscmn.so (from KB_JetDroid)

You can remove also apk "Spare Parts" and "Dev Tools" : so useless
You do not have the required permissions to view the files attached to this post.

Dopi can you confirm if the FIMG files was rebuild or is it older copy's you are using.

Quadrant:
The tests you guys are running = click quadrant then run bench and then white screen until some 3d shows up or have you made some changes as both 1.1.1 and 1.1.7 is doing this for me with default Dopi files.
Adding KB files still does the same.

Can anyone if not having this problems link a free legal download copy of the same quadrant you are using.
Also please say how and what you are using = erase ext3 then extract latest Dopi files chmod copy filemanager + quadrant and chmod then restart or are you using a different method ?

Edit I did manage to get quadrant 1.1.1 results, using this default files vs CM-Jet-Eclair ../egl folder files. Could not find the white screen fix yet, possibly a ../lib file that needs to be replaced. Might be able to switch the libGLESv2_fimg.so files to get better 3d scores below or something.
Code: Select all
total 275  /  277
cpu 310  /  324
mem 287  /  316
i/o 631  /  613
2d 96  /  98
3d 51  /  36

Standby screen black to color = extra missing ../lib files helps with this + might need to add a standby screen image or something, should work fine in Froyo and ginger inbuilt standby screen's.
